About Us

A space OF ART AND ARCHITECTURE IN TENERIFE.

Mission

Agencia de Tránsitos Culturales (ATC) is an independent, non-profit cultural association. Founded in 2014, ATC promotes research initiatives and produces actions of cultural and social relevance related to the Canarian archipelago and its geography.

In 2017, Elle Przybyla and Juan Matos Capote, co-founders of Agencia de Tránsitos Culturales and co-directors of Galería ATC, opened the doors to a hybrid space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The space consists of a gallery and a bookstore of art, architecture, design and culture.

Galería ATC

Galería ATC is a contemporary art and architecture gallery in the heart of Santa Cruz. It presents works in different media, including video and sound art. Its annual program consists of several individual and collective exhibitions of international and national contemporary artists.

As part of the gallery, the Flat Files keep in their drawers works on paper by contemporary artists that can be consulted and acquired by the general public, curators, collectors, critics and art dealers.

Projects

As part of its mission, ATC develops artistic and design research projects. Basic Research ATC is an ongoing initiative that provides a platform for the cultivation and presentation of projects that embody the fundamental value of the pursuit of knowledge. Designed to bring together abstract research and everyday experience, Basic Research ATC facilitates meaningful encounters between architects, artists, writers and scientists.
