Catalogue of the first major exhibition in Spain by Regina José Galindo, whose performances are metaphors for suffering and social injustice. Produced by TEA, Artium and CAAM, and curated by Blanca de la Torre in 2013.

The exhibition consists of photographs, videos and objects related to some thirty performances carried out since the beginning, in 1999, of the artistic career of the Guatemalan creator, who was awarded the prestigious Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 2005. In these actions, charged with extraordinary symbolism, Galindo disturbs and moves the observer by subjecting his body to extreme situations as a reflection of a social reality dominated by abuse and injustice.
