 Marta Beltrán (Granada, 1977) explores the expansion of drawing ranging from the small diary format to monumental composition. Her main motivation is to represent the female figure as an expression of unconscious and emotional content, separate from other fictional practices. She has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Granada and also studied for a year at Loughborough University, England. She pursued postgraduate studies in several universities (Granada and Madrid). She received several prizes in 2017, such as "El juego de la libertad", Daniel Vázquez Díaz Scholarship, in Huelva; "Ojos de un extraño", Gregorio Prieto Drawing Prize, in Valdepeñas; and "La vendedora de fósforos", DKV-MAKMA Drawing Prize, in Valencia. She exhibited in group shows with the Birimbao Gallery in Seville and Puxagallery in Madrid (2019), in the art fairs Marte, Castellón, and JustMAD (2018) and was awarded an Honourable Mention in the 12th La Rural Painting and Plastic Arts Prize in 2019. In 2016 she received a Production Grant from the UGR, Granada, with which she carried out the individual exhibition "La Ceremonia" at the Hospital Real de Granada, curated by Susana Blas.
